## Editorial
Delta IV Medium was a medium-lift expendable launch vehicle offering both 4 m and 5 m payload fairings. The two-stage stack comprised a cryogenic Common Booster Core burning LH2/LOX through an RS-68A engine, topped by a Delta Cryogenic Second Stage (DCSS) powered by an RL10B-2.[^wikipedia-delta-iv] The base Medium variant carried approximately 8,510-8,600 kg to LEO; the M+(4,2) variant, adding two GEM-60 solid strap-on boosters, raised that figure to around 11,700 kg.[^wikipedia-delta-iv]

The family flew 32 times between November 2002 and August 2019, when the final Delta IV Medium mission ended the variant line.[^theregister-delta4-retirement][^spaceflightnow-delta4m-final] Meteorological EO missions flown include GOES-14 and GOES-15.[^wikipedia-delta-iv] The Delta IV Heavy is a separate vehicle and remains out of scope for this entry.
