## Editorial
ATCOR 4 is airborne atmospheric and topographic correction software for optical scanner data, developed and maintained by ReSe Applications LLC under the ATCOR brand held by the German Aerospace Center (DLR). Version 7.5 was released on 2024-04-02.[^rese-atcor4][^dlr-atcor4-guide]

The software processes solar-reflective data across the 0.35-2.55 um range and thermal infrared data across the 8-14 um range. Processing functions include surface reflectance cube retrieval, thermal brightness temperature and emissivity retrieval, aerosol and spatial water-vapour mapping, haze and cirrus cloud removal, inflight sensor calibration using ground reference targets, and a TOA radiance scene simulation add-on. Separate modules address flat and rugged terrain topographic correction.

The airborne product is also marketed as ATCOR-A; HySpex and ReSe retain the ATCOR-4 name.[^hyspex-atcor4][^atcor-home] Supported airborne systems include HySpex and Mjolnir sensors.[^rese-atcor4] Documentation is published by DLR.[^dlr-atcor4-guide]
