## Editorial
Readar Change Detection (mutatiesignalering) is an automated service that identifies alterations to buildings and properties by comparing aerial photographs from different acquisition epochs. The service covers the Netherlands nationwide and Belgium.

ML-based temporal analysis compares historical and current aerial imagery to flag property changes. Two processing modes are available: fully automatic and semi-automatic, where the algorithm selects candidate changed objects for human tagger verification before the result is finalised. Outputs are change-flagged datasets linked to property addresses.

The primary application is maintaining the accuracy of Dutch public property registries, specifically the BAG (Basisregistratie Adressen en Gebouwen) and BGT (Basisregistratie Grootschalige Topografie) databases, which municipalities are required to keep current. Additional customers include property insurers using the data to update premium records and government agencies monitoring urban change.[^readar-change-detection-page][^readar-home]
