The Ground SAR Processor (MSSP) is a ground-based SAR image formation and processing software developed by MetaSensing (METASENSING S.R.L., Italy). It implements the Time Domain Back Projection (TDBP) algorithm, which MetaSensing describes as the most accurate SAR focusing method and which enables precise geometric, polarimetric, and radiometric calibration.[^mssp-product-page]

The processor accepts Level-0 raw SAR data and produces Level-1 calibrated SAR images, SLC products, co-registered geo-referenced SLC stacks over external DEMs, and differential interferometric phase products. Supported acquisition modes include Stripmap, Spotlight, ScanSAR, TopSAR, and high-squint geometries. The processor performs automatic co-registration and geo-referencing of SLC stacks over external DEMs and compensates topographic phases.
