## Editorial
CrystalSpace Space Camera is the legacy family-level entry for CrystalSpace's camera product line, of which the CS-101 Kikas is the baseline model now catalogued separately.

CrystalSpace manufactures the camera for satellite deployable monitoring, docking and proximity operations, Earth observation, space situational awareness, rover navigation, and lander monitoring.[^crystalspace-cs101-current]

The product uses a 5 MP, 12-bit visual-wavelength imaging sensor and is available in monochrome or RGB configurations.[^crystalspace-camera-comparison-2024]

Field-of-view options span 12 to 120 degrees diagonal depending on configuration.[^crystalspace-cs101-current][^crystalspace-camera-comparison-2024]

The older micro-camera configuration has less than 600 m per pixel from a 600 km LEO orbit for basic optics.[^crystalspace-products-legacy][^satsearch-micro-camera]

Lens, field-of-view, and colour-mode choices vary by configuration, so spacecraft selection depends on the required viewing geometry and imaging task.[^crystalspace-cs101-current][^crystalspace-camera-comparison-2024]
