## Editorial
Geostationary High-speed Imager is the FY-4B rapid regional imager for selected-area geostationary meteorology, separate from the full-disc AGRI imaging payload.[^nsmc-fy4b-instrument][^nsmc-fy4b] It acquires 2000 x 2000 km regional frames at one-minute intervals for fast-evolving systems such as typhoons and severe convection.[^nsmc-fy4b-instrument][^cgms-ghi] The instrument has seven channels: an all-colour 0.25 km channel, five visible/NIR/SWIR channels from 0.445 to 1.64 um at 0.5 km, and one 10.3-12.5 um thermal channel at 2 km.[^nsmc-fy4b-instrument][^wmo-ghi] GHI imagery has demonstrated atmospheric-motion-vector production from FY-4B observations.[^nsmc-fy4b-instrument]
