## Editorial
HySpex Mjolnir OEM Systems are integration-ready hyperspectral payloads designed for UAV, ISR, gimbal, mobile platform, and tripod deployments. Manufactured by HySpex (Norsk Elektro Optikk), the family comprises two complementary OEM cameras: the V-1240 OEM covering 400-1000 nm (VNIR) and the S-620 OEM covering 970-2500 nm (SWIR). Each unit weighs approximately 2 kg (V-1240 OEM) or 2.5 kg (S-620 OEM) and consumes 50 W, making both compatible with weight- and power-constrained airborne and mobile platforms.[^hyspex-oem-page]

The V-1240 OEM provides 1240 spatial pixels across a 20-degree field of view at f/1.8. It operates in two spectral modes: 200 channels at 3 nm sampling or 400 channels at 1.5 nm sampling, with 12-bit output and peak SNR exceeding 260 in standard mode.[^mjolnir-v1240-oem-pdf] The operator datasheet specifies 1240 spatial pixels.[^hyspex-oem-page][^mjolnir-v1240-oem-pdf]

The S-620 OEM provides 620 spatial pixels across a 20-degree field of view at f/1.9, with 300 channels at 5.1 nm sampling, 16-bit output, and peak SNR exceeding 2000 in low-gain mode and 600 in high-gain mode.[^mjolnir-s620-oem-pdf]

Both OEM cameras are described by HySpex as compatible with their Bifrost real-time processing software.[^hyspex-bifrost]

| Mode | Spectral range (nm) | Spatial pixels | Channels | Sampling (nm) | Bit depth | Peak SNR |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| V-1240 OEM (standard) | 400-1000 | 1240 | 200 | 3.0 | 12 | >260 |
| V-1240 OEM (high-res) | 400-1000 | 1240 | 400 | 1.5 | 12 | >220 |
| S-620 OEM | 970-2500 | 620 | 300 | 5.1 | 16 | >2000 (low gain) |

The payload family supports hyperspectral classification workflows across visible, near-infrared, and shortwave infrared bands.[^hyspex-oem-page]
