## Editorial
MSC (KOMPSAT-2) is the Multi-Spectral Camera flown on KOMPSAT-2, also known as Arirang-2.[^esa-kompsat2-manual][^fedeo-kompsat2-archive] It is a passive optical high-resolution camera combining one panchromatic channel and four multispectral channels.[^fedeo-kompsat2-archive] The channel set is PAN 500-900 nm, blue 450-520 nm, green 520-600 nm, red 630-690 nm and near-infrared 760-900 nm.[^fedeo-kompsat2-archive] Ground sampling is 1 m for panchromatic imagery and 4 m for multispectral imagery, with a 15 km swath.[^esa-kompsat2-manual][^fedeo-kompsat2-archive] MSC supports high-resolution land, vegetation, mapping, cartography, natural-hazard and resource applications.[^ceos-kompsat2-mission][^fedeo-kompsat2-archive] The sensor is archive-oriented: selected ESA archive products were acquired from 2007 to 2014, and the KOMPSAT-2 mission is complete.[^fedeo-kompsat2-archive][^ceos-kompsat2-mission] MSC has demonstrated vegetation-index mapping and is capable of optical time-series change-detection workflows from KOMPSAT-2 imagery.[^fedeo-kompsat2-archive]
