## Editorial
The MultiScape200 is a high-resolution multispectral pushbroom imager built by Simera Sense for 12U CubeSat platforms. It is part of the xScape200 family, sharing a common 190 mm aperture, 1067 mm focal length optical chassis with the TriScape200 and HyperScape200, in a 311 x 216 x 216 mm volume at 12.31 kg.[^multiscape200-page]

The instrument images in one panchromatic band (500-750 nm) and eight VNIR multispectral bands spanning 450-900 nm. At a reference altitude of 500 km it delivers 1.5 m ground sample distance over a 14 km swath; the Simera Sense announcement for the LatConnect60 SWIRSAT mission cites 1.8 m GSD at a 600 km reference altitude, reflecting the linear altitude dependence of GSD rather than a specification discrepancy.[^multiscape200-page][^latconnect-article] The detector is 8192 pixels across-track with 3.2 um pixel pitch and supports up to 32 TDI stages per band. Data are sampled at 12-bit depth.[^multiscape200-page]

The manufacturer product page lists the MultiScape200 as carrying 8 VNIR multispectral bands.[^multiscape200-page] The Orbital Transports SmallSat Catalog lists 7 spectral bands for this instrument;[^multiscape200-catalog] the difference appears to reflect whether the panchromatic channel is included in the band total, not a disagreement on the VNIR count.

Operating power is 3.25 W at idle and 7.00 W during imaging. On-board storage is 128 GB EDAC NAND. Interfaces include SpaceWire, RS-422, SPI, I2C, and LVDS. The sensor is rated to 15 kRad radiation tolerance and operates over -10 to +50 degrees C.[^multiscape200-page]

Simera Sense announced in 2026 that the MultiScape200 was selected as the optical payload for the LatConnect60 SWIRSAT mission, targeting launch in December 2026.[^latconnect-article]
