It is derived from the xScape100 optical platform heritage and was commercially launched in May 2026, with flight model availability scheduled for Q2 2027.[^ssa-launch-pr]

The instrument is designed to detect, track, and catalogue Resident Space Objects (RSOs) and to support Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) threat assessment. Its primary figure of merit is angular resolution: the sensor provides a 2-arcsecond instantaneous field of view and a sensitivity range of 10 to 12.5 visual magnitudes. At a proximity range of 10 km it achieves 10 cm cross-range resolution, a figure meaningful to in-orbit proximity operations rather than to Earth-surface imaging. The spectral range is visible (the press release describes it as visible-spectrum but does not specify the band limits in nanometres). The sensor acquires full-motion video to enable tracking of non-cooperative RSOs.[^ssa-launch-pr]
