Agencia Espacial Espanola is Spain's national space agency, established on 20 April 2023 and headquartered in Seville.[1][2] It coordinates and promotes Spanish public and private space activity across civil, industrial, technological, and security priorities.[3][2] Its governance is linked to the Ministry of Science and the Ministry of Defence, and Juan Carlos Cortes Pulido was named Director General in May 2024.[1] For Earth-observation buyers, AEE is a coordination and programme body rather than a direct operator of an owned EO satellite fleet. The agency's public programme context includes Atlantic Constellation as an ESA-contracted activity referenced by AEE.[3]
