Land cover change
Land cover change monitoring detects where surface classes change, what transition occurred, when it happened, and what uncertainty supports the mapped result.[1][2] USGS LCMAP uses Landsat Analysis Ready Data time series and the Continuous Change Detection and Classification algorithm to produce annual land surface change and land cover products.[1] ESA CCI Land Cover treats land cover as an Essential Climate Variable and produces consistent global land-cover information from multiple Earth-observation instruments.[3] High-resolution land-cover change products can report changed pixels and change year, which separates static class mapping from change timing.[2]
