Operator Terms
These terms apply to you when you claim an EO-Atlas listing and edit or manage it as a verified operator. They supplement the general Terms of Service, which continue to apply in full. Paid-tier billing is governed separately at checkout and on the Refund and Cancellation page.
Version 1.0 – 2026-06-26
1. Authority to act
When you claim a listing you confirm that you are authorised to represent the company or other entity the listing describes, and that the organisation has agreed to you acting on its behalf in relation to EO-Atlas. You may not claim a listing for an entity you do not represent, and you may not impersonate another person or organisation. If your authority changes, you must tell us promptly at info@spectraworks.nl.
2. Accuracy and currency of listing content
All content you publish through your claimed listing -- including product specifications, capability descriptions, datasheets, pricing, certifications, and links -- must be accurate, not misleading, and kept reasonably current. In particular you must not:
- inflate or misrepresent performance figures, measurement accuracies, or technical capabilities;
- assert certifications, standards compliance, or accreditations you do not hold;
- claim partnerships, endorsements, or customer relationships that do not exist or have not been authorised by the other party;
- publish outdated specifications or pricing you know to be superseded without flagging them as such.
You vouch for the facts you publish. EO-Atlas is a reference used by procurement and engineering professionals who rely on its accuracy. Misleading content harms both readers and the integrity of the catalogue.
3. Content rights and licence
You confirm that you own, or are fully licensed to use and sublicense, all content you upload or publish to your listing -- including logos, images, datasheets, promotional copy, and any other material. You confirm that publishing that content through EO-Atlas does not infringe any intellectual-property right, trademark, trade secret, or confidentiality obligation of any third party.
By publishing content to your listing you grant SpectraWorks B.V. a
non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and
redistribute that content as part of operating EO-Atlas. This licence
covers all distribution channels of EO-Atlas, including the public
eo-atlas.db dataset download (released under CC BY 4.0),
the llms.txt surface, and any other machine-readable or
LLM-facing surfaces through which EO-Atlas content is made available.
Specifically, content included in the eo-atlas.db dataset
may be sublicensed to downstream users and redistributed under the terms
of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence,
consistent with the stated licence for that dataset.
The licence continues for as long as the content remains on the site,
and ends when you remove the content or your claim lapses, subject to
reasonable retention for archival and legal purposes.
4. Lawful and acceptable use
You agree that all content you publish, and all actions you take through your claimed listing, will comply with applicable law and with the acceptable-use obligations in the general Terms of Service. In addition, as an operator you specifically agree not to:
- publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or harmful;
- use your listing to disparage, denigrate, or make false statements about competitors;
- manipulate catalogue search results, relevance scores, or editorial classifications through spam or artificial means;
- publish content designed to mislead buyers about product capabilities, regulatory status, or market position;
- use your listing in a way that violates applicable advertising standards, consumer-protection law, or export and sanctions rules relevant to the goods or services you describe.
5. Liability for listing content
You are responsible for all content you publish through your claimed listing. To the extent permitted by law, you indemnify SpectraWorks B.V. and its officers, employees, and agents against any third-party claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from content you publish or from your breach of these Operator Terms or applicable law, to the extent the claim is caused by what you did. The liability limits in section 15 of the general Terms of Service apply between you and us; this clause concerns your obligations to us in respect of third-party claims only.
6. EO-Atlas editorial control
Claiming a listing gives you the right to add and edit enhancement content; it does not give you control over EO-Atlas's editorial classifications, methodology assessments, or baseline catalogue descriptions, which remain under our editorial discretion.
We may edit, unpublish, or remove listing content that we reasonably believe is inaccurate, misleading, or in breach of these terms or applicable law, including in response to a report under the EU Digital Services Act (see DSA page). When we restrict or remove your content we will give you a statement of reasons and a way to dispute our decision. If your account lapses or is terminated, your paid enhancement features end and the listing reverts to a standard catalogue entry compiled from public sources.
7. Account security
Your claim is bound to the email address you used to verify it. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure. You are responsible for all actions taken through your operator account, including edits made by colleagues you have granted access to your listing. Tell us promptly at info@spectraworks.nl if you believe your account has been used without your authorisation.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Operator Terms as EO-Atlas develops or as the law requires. The current version and its date are shown above and on this page. If we make a significant change we will notify you. Continued use of your claimed listing after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
