Greenhouse gas inventory
Greenhouse gas inventory monitoring estimates CO2, CH4, and related fluxes over facilities, cities, basins, countries, and ecosystems.[1][2] Inventory workflows combine satellite CO2 and CH4 columns with in-situ measurements and inverse modelling to estimate emissions and trends.[1][2] OCO-2 provides global CO2 measurements for studying carbon exchange among the atmosphere, land, and ocean.[2] OCO-2 also retrieves solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence as a gross-primary-productivity proxy.[3] Imaging spectroscopy point-source plume products support facility-scale CH4 and CO2 detection, while regional flux inventories require aggregation and modelling.[4][1]
