Bundeswehr

Bundeswehr is Germany's federal armed forces and an EO-relevant government military operator and end-user for radar reconnaissance space systems.^[1] Its SARah reconnaissance system comprises three radar satellites: one phased-array satellite launched in June 2022 and two reflector satellites launched in 2023.^[1] SARah is designed for reconnaissance independent of daylight and weather, using radar observations for military intelligence needs.^[2] The Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support and the German Cyber and Information Domain Service are named institutional participants in the SARah launch material.^[1]
