Kazakhstan Aerospace Committee (Kazcosmos)

Kazakhstan Aerospace Committee, commonly branded Kazcosmos, is Kazakhstan's national aerospace committee for civil space activity. The Kazcosmos brand remains with the Aerospace Committee, and kazcosmos.gov.kz is its authoritative domain.^[1] For EO buyers, Kazcosmos is relevant because its national portfolio includes KazEOSat-1, KazEOSat-2, and KazSTSAT.^[2] KazEOSat-1 launched on 30 April 2014 as a 1 m panchromatic Earth observation satellite.^[3] KazEOSat-2 launched on 19 June 2014 and provides 6.5 m multispectral Earth observation imaging.^[4] KazSTSAT launched on 3 December 2018 as an 18.7 m multispectral mission.^[5] The agency's role is national programme authority and mission sponsor for Kazakhstan's EO capacity.^[1]
