Korea Meteorological Administration
Korea Meteorological Administration is South Korea's national meteorological agency and a satellite-meteorology data provider. Its relevant Earth-observation role is reception, processing, production, and dissemination of GEO-KOMPSAT-2A meteorological satellite data rather than spacecraft manufacture.[1][2] GEO-KOMPSAT-2A launched on 2018-12-05, observes with 16 channels, and produces 52 meteorological products.[2] Dissemination routes include UHRIT, HRIT, LRIT, web services, Open API, FTP, and DCPC access planning, making KMA relevant to users of Korean geostationary weather products and distribution services.[2]
