Swedish National Space Agency is Sweden's national space funding and coordination agency, with an official role focused on national space policy, research support, international cooperation, and industrial development rather than direct operation of a civilian Earth-observation constellation.[1] For Earth-observation procurement, SNSA is therefore a policy, funding, and coordination node for Swedish participation in space programmes.[1] Sweden's historical national satellites do not form a current civilian Earth-observation data service because Odin was an atmospheric and astronomy mission, while Freja and Viking were space-physics missions rather than Earth-observation systems.[2][3] The agency's space-science activity is largely channelled through European cooperation, so mission availability should be evaluated through the relevant programme records rather than assuming SNSA runs a standalone EO fleet.[1]
