Turkish Ministry Of National Defence

The Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Defence is a national defence ministry headquartered in Ankara and active as a public authority for Turkish defence space capabilities.^[1] Its Earth-observation role includes GOKTURK-1, a high-resolution optical Earth-observation and reconnaissance mission for which the ministry is identified as operator and procuring customer.^[2][3] GOKTURK-1 launched on Vega VV08 in 2016.^[2] The ministry role in this EO context is public mission operation and procurement rather than commercial imagery, satellite manufacturing, or analytics provision.^[2][3]
