EnMAP L2A Surface Reflectance (ENMAP.HSI.L2A) is the atmospherically corrected, terrain-corrected surface reflectance product from the Environmental Mapping and Analysis Programme (EnMAP) hyperspectral satellite, produced and distributed by DLR. It covers 420-2450 nm across 228 instrument spectral bands at 30 m ground sample distance, delivered in Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF format with a STAC endpoint.[1][2]

The instrument acquires 228 channels (94 VNIR, 134 SWIR). DLR STAC collection metadata reports 224 bands in the standard L2A delivery.[2] The difference reflects four bands in strong water vapour absorption windows (approximately 1350-1400 nm and 1800-1950 nm) that are masked in the standard product. Both figures appear in authoritative sources referring to the same product; downstream users should verify band count from scene metadata rather than assuming all 228 channels carry valid surface reflectance.

The VNIR and SWIR channels are acquired with an approximately 600 m along-track offset and co-registered to 0.1 pixel accuracy in L1C processing; residual spectral-spatial co-registration artefacts are possible at high-contrast edges.[3]

Two L2A processing modes are available at ordering time: land mode (surface reflectance for land pixels) and combined mode (land and underwater reflectance for aquatic pixels). Mode selection affects which pixels carry valid surface reflectance values.[1]

EnMAP's 30 km swath and 27-day nadir repeat cycle require multi-pass acquisitions for regional coverage. Standard delivery occurs within 6 days of downlink. Data are freely available to registered users; registration is required at planning.enmap.org before ordering.[4][5]
