HISUI Level-1G Radiance is an orthorectified at-sensor radiance product from the Hyperspectral Imager Suite (HISUI) instrument mounted on the International Space Station. HISUI covers 400 to 2500 nm across 185 spectral bands at 20 m native ground sampling distance, offering full VNIR-SWIR hyperspectral coverage in a single acquisition[1]. The product is distributed by METI through the Tellus data platform[2][3].

Access registration requirements have varied over the instrument's operational period. As of 2026-05-19, the hisui.go.jp distribution page stated access was limited to individuals affiliated with Japanese companies, organisations, and universities[2]. The Tellus catalog page as of 2026-05-24 indicates availability across Japan, Asia, Oceania, Europe, North America, South America, and Africa with registration required[3]; the authoritative current registration policy should be confirmed directly with hisui.go.jp.

L1G is the highest-level product available through the public distribution channel; a Level-2G surface reflectance product with atmospheric correction was not listed on the Tellus catalog as of 2026-05-24[3][1]. L1G orthorectification uses the ALOS World 3D DEM[4]. A VNIR low-brightness striping issue identified in 2025 was corrected in radiometric correction version 4, released 18 February 2026; products distributed prior to that date may exhibit residual striping in shadowed regions[1]. ISS orbital inclination limits coverage to approximately 51.6 degrees north and south latitude.
