PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle)

India's primary expendable medium-lift launch vehicle, operated by ISRO from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. Available in multiple configurations (PSLV-CA, PSLV-XL, PSLV-DL, PSLV-QL); PSLV-XL is the workhorse variant carrying up to 1,750 kg to SSO. Commercial launches booked via NewSpace India Limited (NSIL).

PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) is an ISRO four-stage expendable launch vehicle designed for LEO, SSO, Sub-GTO, and GTO mission profiles, operating from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.[1][2] The vehicle family includes the Core Alone (PSLV-CA), Dual Liquid Strap-on (PSLV-DL), Quad Liquid Strap-on (PSLV-QL), and Extended XL (PSLV-XL) variants, each with different strap-on configurations.[2] The PSLV-XL variant carries up to 1,750 kg to a 600 km sun-synchronous polar orbit.[1][2] Commercial launch services on PSLV are marketed and booked through NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), ISRO's commercial arm.[3][4] PSLV has completed a substantial number of national and commercial missions and remains active, with continued mission bookings through NSIL.[5][6]
