DMSat-1 is an environmental-monitoring nanosatellite for Dubai and the wider United Arab Emirates. It launched on 2021-03-22 on a Soyuz-2.1a/Fregat rideshare from Baikonur into a Sun-synchronous rideshare orbit.[1][2]
The mission carries an atmospheric-monitoring payload focused on aerosols, greenhouse-gas observations, and air-quality measurements.[1] Applications include air quality monitoring, greenhouse-gas inventory support, and industrial-emissions monitoring.[1]
