LOTUSat-1 is Vietnam's planned national X-band SAR Earth-observation mission for disaster monitoring, climate-change countermeasures, and flood mapping.[1] The mission is operated by the Vietnam National Space Center and uses the LOTUSat X-band SAR payload on an NEC NEXTAR-300L / ASNARO-2 heritage spacecraft bus.[1][2] As of 2026-06-21, LOTUSat-1 remains a planned mission with Epsilon S launch timing unresolved after motor-test failures.[3][4]
