LOTUSat-2 is Vietnam's planned sister X-band SAR Earth-observation mission for disaster monitoring, climate-change countermeasures, and flood mapping.[1] The mission is operated by the Vietnam National Space Center and is associated with the LOTUSat X-band SAR payload and a NEXTAR-300L heritage spacecraft bus.[1] It follows the LOTUSat programme scope established for Vietnam's SAR satellite system.[2][1] As of 2026-06-21, LOTUSat-2 remains planned, with launch vehicle and launch date not authoritatively confirmed.[1][3]
