RADARSAT-2 is an active Canadian C-band synthetic-aperture-radar mission launched on 2007-12-14.[1] Its radar operates at 5.405 GHz with 100 MHz bandwidth and supports single, dual and quad polarization modes.[1] The mission's ownership and ground-segment operations are commercial, while Canadian government data-credit arrangements supported construction and launch funding.[2] That model separates commercial ground-segment operation from government access to collected radar data.[2]
