UK-DMC 2 continued the Disaster Monitoring Constellation imaging line after its 2009 launch from Baikonur on Dnepr.[1] The spacecraft used an SSTL-100 platform for medium-resolution Earth observation service.[1] Its green, red, and near-infrared multispectral imager provides 22 m ground resolution across an approximately 660 km swath, supporting broad-area disaster monitoring and land-cover imaging.[2]
