Smart Mission Lab is a KP Labs Hardware-as-a-Service platform for remote access to space-grade onboard-processing hardware.[1] KP Labs describes the service as giving customers access to Leopard, Lion, and Antelope DPU hardware for algorithm development, hardware validation, and onboard AI testing before flight-unit procurement.[1] KP Labs announced Smart Mission Lab in March 2025 as a subscription-based service for space-technology development and validation.[2] KP Labs states that the lab model removes the need for upfront physical hardware and can make the selected hardware available within two days of purchase.[1] Smart Mission Lab provides a development and validation environment for mission teams preparing software and hardware choices before deployment.[2]
