SSMM is Dragonfly's solid-state mass memory product for high-speed data storage on low Earth orbit spacecraft.
SSMM is Dragonfly Aerospace's flight-proven high-speed solid-state mass memory for low Earth orbit spacecraft, available exclusively as part of Dragonfly spacecraft system solutions.[1]
The product is ITAR-free and TRL 9, and Dragonfly's components overview also lists the component family as ITAR-free and TRL 9.[1][2]
The unit uses a EuroCard 3U form factor, provides 512 GB of stand-alone capacity, and can be combined in parallel to form larger memory banks.[1]
It lists maximum read and write speeds of 26 Gbps, dimensions of 160 x 107 x 29 mm, and a mass of 0.35 kg.[1]
The environmental and power figures are -10 C to +50 C operating temperature, +5 V regulated supply, 6 W nominal consumption, and design life up to 8 years in low Earth orbit.[1]
Data integrity features include Reed-Solomon (128,120) error correction and bad block management.[1]
Interfaces include dual redundant CAN, one RS-485, two RS-422, four GTx inputs up to 4 Gbps, two GTx outputs up to 2 Gbps with LVDS flow-control input, and six LVDS outputs up to 100 Mbps.[1]
Built-in functions include memory testing, individual image or full erase, image table management, ZIP and JPEG 2000 compression, thumbnail generation, and histogram generation.[1]
