Gokturk-1 spacecraft platform is the mission-specific platform for the Gokturk-1 high-resolution Earth-observation satellite [1][2]. The programme was led by Telespazio for the Turkish Ministry of National Defence, and Thales Alenia Space supplied the satellite bus with Turkish industrial participation [1][2]. The launch-mass basis is about 1060 kg, placing the platform in the large class [1][2]. Gokturk-1 launched on Vega flight VV08 on 2016-12-05 into sun-synchronous orbit and provides sub-metre optical imagery [1][2].
