Wren Flyer is a hydrogen and solar hybrid HAPS for persistent connectivity and payload-dependent EO, IR and radar monitoring.
The Wren Flyer is a high-altitude platform station (HAPS) in development by Wren Aerospace, a Dutch company backed by ESA BIC Noordwijk.[1][2] The vehicle is designed to operate on a hybrid hydrogen and solar propulsion system, targeting persistent stratospheric flight for connectivity and Earth-observation payloads including optical, infrared, and radar sensors.
The platform is intended for airborne deployment at stratospheric altitudes, providing long-dwell coverage over a target area. Wingspan and peak solar power specifications have not been published in open sources as of the research date.[1]
