Nextage Modular Computer (NMC), a radiation-tolerant 1U-form-factor onboard computer built on the Microchip RT PolarFire FPGA SoC.
The Nextage Modular Computer (NMC) is a radiation-tolerant onboard computer in a 1U CubeSat form factor, built on the Microchip RT PolarFire FPGA SoC.[1] It is designed for spacecraft command and data handling in low-Earth orbit environments. The vendor's published radiation tolerance range is 30-100 krad (TID); independent test data against this figure has not been published as of the research date.[1]
A November 2025 product flyer carries the title 'NMC-2 Radiation Tolerant Computer (Patent Pending)'.[2] The relationship between the NMC and NMC-2 designations has not been confirmed in public documentation; the two may represent successive generations or an internal revision. Nextage announced a partnership with Hammers Company in January 2026 for integration and testing services.[3]
Accessory boards available include a combination I/O board and a motor driver board that stack on the NMC base unit.[1]
