Sen2Cor

Sen2Cor is ESA's Sentinel-2 atmospheric correction processor, version 2.11 released December 2022.^[1] It converts Sentinel-2 Level-1C top-of-atmosphere reflectance tiles to Level-2A bottom-of-atmosphere surface reflectance using a scene classification, aerosol optical thickness retrieval, water vapour estimation, and dark dense vegetation-based correction.^[2] The processor runs on individual Sentinel-2 granules and is distributed as a SNAP plugin.^[3] L2A products derived by Sen2Cor are used as input for vegetation, land cover, and agricultural monitoring workflows that require surface reflectance rather than TOA reflectance.^[2]
