Admesy B.V.

Dutch precision-spectrometer manufacturer, headquartered in Ittervoort, Limburg. Founded 2006 as a spin-out from Philips Heerlen. Produces high-accuracy spectroradiometers, colorimeters, photometers, and 2D imaging colorimeters for inline production environments, primarily for display manufacturing (LCD, OLED, MicroLED, QD-OLED), AV calibration, lighting, biomedical, and analytical applications. CEO Steven Goetstouwers. The company operates its own cleanroom facility and an in-house IBS optical coating machine (acquired 2020), where every filter that ships goes through the same coating line. The closed-loop feedback between each finished device measurement and the next batch's coating recipe is the company's structural differentiator: an embodied, accumulating learning-by-doing process that a coating service bureau does not replicate. Spectral range across standard products is 250 to 1100 nm (UV to NIR).

Admesy B.V. is a Dutch manufacturer of precision optical measurement instruments, headquartered in Ittervoort, Limburg in the Netherlands. Founded in 2006 by former Philips engineers, the company designs and manufactures spectroradiometers, colorimeters, photometers, and 2D imaging colorimeters for display and light measurement applications in industrial production and R&D environments.[^admesy-about]

The product portfolio spans several instrument classes serving distinct measurement needs. The PCM2 and PCM2X series are high-speed display colorimeters for inline production testing, covering luminance ranges from below 0.00003 cd/m2 to 40,000 cd/m2 across model variants. The Neo series covers spectroradiometry with a visible range of 360-940 nm and a UV-NIR variant spanning 250-1100 nm. The Prometheus series provides both colorimeter and viewfinder spectrometer configurations, with the DMGS goniometric variant achieving wavelength accuracy below 0.1 nm. The Helios and Titan series offer 2D imaging colorimetry for spatial luminance and colour uniformity characterisation. The Hera series targets analytical spectroscopy via fibre coupling, and the Asteria series covers illuminance, flicker, and luminance measurement.[^admesy-products]

Admesy's primary market is display panel manufacturing: inline and quality-line testing for LCD, OLED, MicroLED, and QD-OLED production, with principal customers among large Asian consumer electronics producers. Secondary markets include automotive display integration, solid-state and architectural lighting production, and general analytical spectroscopy.[^admesy-applications]

The company operates an in-house cleanroom with an ion beam sputtering (IBS) optical filter coating machine used to manufacture the custom spectral filters built into its instruments. Each instrument is individually characterised against its own filter response on the production line.[^admesy-about] Admesy holds ISO 9001 certification and is a member of CIE, PhotonicsNL, SID, and SPIE. Its PCM2X-271 received the Display Week 2025 People's Choice Award in the Display Metrology category and the IMID Best Display Equipment Award from the Korea Display Industry Association in August 2025.[^admesy-news] Admesy instruments are integrated within Portrait Displays' Calman display calibration software, extending their reach to professional AV calibrators.

From an EO perspective, precision ground-reference spectroradiometers and colorimeters of the type Admesy manufactures are used in vicarious radiometric calibration campaigns, PICS (Pseudo-Invariant Calibration Site) ground-truth measurements, and pre- and post-launch laboratory characterisation of spaceborne optical instruments. The Neo UV-NIR covering 250-1100 nm and the Prometheus DMGS with sub-0.1 nm wavelength accuracy are representative of the precision reference instrument class used in this cal/val context.
