AmeriGEO

AmeriGEO is the Americas Group on Earth Observations, the regional GEO caucus for GEO member countries in North America, South America, and the Caribbean.^[1] Established in 2014, with governance formalised in 2016-2017, it coordinates member activity rather than operating Earth observation satellites.^[1] Its work is organised around agriculture and food security, biodiversity and ecosystems, disaster risk reduction, water resource management, and public health.^[1] The group also works through coordination, agriculture, biodiversity and ecosystems, disasters, health, and water working groups, with secretariat support in the NOAA/NESDIS and GEO framework.^[1]
