Dutch downstream Earth observation software company behind Cerberus, a game-based crowdsourcing platform for interpreting satellite and aerial imagery into maps, data labels, and geospatial intelligence products.

BlackShore B.V. is a Dutch downstream Earth observation software company behind Cerberus, a game-based crowdsourcing platform for interpreting satellite and aerial imagery into maps, AI training labels, and geospatial intelligence products.[1][2] The company has layered heritage: BlackShore B.V. was incorporated in 2017, the Cerberus concept originated in 2011, and ESA lists Blackshore-creative in ESA BIC Noordwijk incubation for 2011-2013.[3][1][4] Cerberus uses crowd tasks around Earth observation imagery for application areas including forestry, disaster relief, food security, water resilience, agriculture, and community mapping.[1][2] ESA's Cerberus project page records a 24-month project from November 2017 to November 2019 with partners including 52 Impact, Streaming Creativity Game Studios, Rabobank, AWS, SAP Netherlands, AKVO, Earthworm Foundation, Q42, HCSS, and Waterwatch Foundation.[2] Registered-office evidence points to Wageningen, while ESA profiles retain the Noordwijk/SBIC incubation and network context.[3][5]
