Digital Earth Australia is Australia's national Earth observation data programme for turning satellite archives into analysis-ready information products.[1] The official programme page describes a 30-plus-year Landsat archive, DEA Maps and Open Data Cube tooling, with use cases across environment, agriculture, emergency management and government decision support.[1] A 2017 peer-reviewed paper frames DEA as the public launch of a platform built on a Landsat archive extending back to 1979 and on earlier national geoscience data-cube work.[2] The programme is relevant where users need Australian public data access, national-scale archive processing, DEA Maps, or Open Data Cube compatible workflows rather than a satellite manufacturer or mission operator.[1][3]
