GEOGLAM is the GEO Global Agricultural Monitoring programme, a G20-mandated consortium launched at the 2011 Cannes Summit to improve agricultural market transparency with Earth observation data.[1][2] It coordinates participating agencies and organizations rather than operating satellites, using member-agency EO data for crop monitoring and food-security workflows.[1][3] Its flagship monitoring work produces monthly crop condition reporting for AMIS staple crops, including wheat, maize, rice, and soy, at national, regional, and global scales.[1] GEOGLAM also coordinates agricultural-monitoring research and development through JECAM and is governed through an Executive Committee, co-chairs, and a programme director.[1][3]
