Dutch CubeSat platform, subsystem, and deployment systems manufacturer headquartered in Delft. Founded in 2006, ISISPACE serves more than 300 customers and partners across 50 countries, offering CubeSat buses from 3U to 16U, electrical power systems, GaAs solar panels, and deployers including the QuadPack family. The ISILAUNCH division acts as a rideshare launch broker. By 2024 more than 700 satellites had been launched across ISILAUNCH-facilitated missions.
ISISPACE (legal entity: ISIS Innovative Solutions In Space BV) is a Dutch small satellite company founded in 2006 in Delft, Netherlands. Operating under the ISISPACE GROUP brand, the company designs and manufactures CubeSat platforms, a modular subsystem product line spanning electrical power systems, solar panels, antennas, and deployment hardware, and provides launch services through its ISILAUNCH division. By 2026 ISISPACE reported more than 821 satellites launched across its facilitated missions.[1][2]
CubeSat Platforms
The platform family covers 3U(XL), 6U(XL), 8U, 12U(XL), and 16U form factors, each offering defined payload volumes, VHF/UHF or S-Band communications, and optional propulsion. Engineering Model variants are available for payload integration testing. Flight-proven examples include a 6U bus for the BRIK-II military technology demonstrator (Royal Netherlands Air Force, 2021) and a complete 12U bus for the SPEQTRE quantum key distribution mission (RAL Space, launched 2025).[3][4][5]
Power Systems
The iCEPS2 compact electrical power system targets 1U-3UXL CubeSats, offering 22.5 Wh or 45 Wh configurations across 6 voltage domains, with flight heritage since 2018.[6] The iMEPS2 modular EPS serves 3U and larger platforms, scaling from 45 Wh to 135 Wh or more with 4 MPPT channels, with flight heritage since 2020.[7] GaAs triple-junction solar panels rated at 30% beginning-of-life efficiency are available in body-mounted and deployable configurations from 1U to 8U, with flight heritage since 2013.[8]
Antennas
The antenna product line covers RF frequency from VHF/UHF to S-Band. Passive S-Band options include the TMTC Antenna (RHCP, 2025-2110 MHz and 2200-2290 MHz) and the S-Band Patch Antenna (RHCP, 2200-2290 MHz). Deployable tape-spring VHF/UHF antennas are offered for 1U-3U satellites (4 x 55 cm elements); a modular deployable variant with monopole, dipole, and turnstile configurations serves 6U and larger platforms. The GNSS Active Patch Antenna covers GPS L1 and Galileo E1 with a 34.5 dB signal gain.[1]
Deployment Systems
ISISPACE's deployment hardware family spans ground-test to deep-space applications. The QuadPack Deployer supports 1U-16U CubeSats (12UXL and 16U variants), with over 200 units launched and deployment velocities between 0.8 and 1.8 m/s.[9] The DuoPack Deployer covers 1U-6UXL in a lighter package. The Deep Space Deployer (DSD) is ESA-approved for non-LEO applications, using a multi-stage mechanism with 3 cm/s release, and achieved flight heritage on the ESA Hera planetary defence mission (October 2024), deploying the Milani and Juventas CubeSats toward the Didymos asteroid system.[10][11] The Modular Deployment Sequencer (MDS) manages up to 32 deployer modules with dual or triple redundancy.[12] TULIP is a petal-based payload support structure for large CubeSat clusters within a 2-metre fairing envelope. TestPod provides a test adapter for 3UXL-16U form factors prior to flight.
Launch Services
ISILAUNCH acts as a rideshare broker and integration coordinator, aggregating satellite slots across launch vehicles including SpaceX Falcon 9 Transporter missions, PSLV, Vega, and Antares, with end-to-end launch management covering mission planning, contracting, and integration.[13] Active contracts as of 2025-2026 include the TANGO greenhouse gas monitoring constellation for ESA Scout and a LEO2VLEO constellation launch agreement with EDA.[14]
ISISPACE is privately held, headquartered in Delft, and serves more than 300 customers and partners across 50 countries.[2]
