Look Up (formerly Look Up Space) is a French space domain awareness company founded in 2022, headquartered in Toulouse with a Paris office.[1] The company was co-founded by General (Ret.) Michel Friedling, who led the French Space Command from 2019 to 2022, and Juan Carlos Dolado, former head of space surveillance at CNES and a member of the IAA Space Debris Committee.[1]
Look Up develops two main products: SORASYS, a ground-based radar network for surveillance and tracking of LEO objects, and SYNAPSE, a hybrid digital platform for space traffic management and space situational and domain awareness (SSA/SDA).[2] The first SORASYS radar station, SORASYS-1, became operational in Lozere, France in April 2026.[3] The company has raised a total of EUR 64 million across three rounds: EUR 14 million in 2023 under France's France 2030 programme, a Series A led by ETF Partners, and a EUR 50 million round closed in June 2025 backed by the EIC Fund and BPIFrance.[3][4][5]
