NASA Harvest is NASA's food-security and agriculture consortium, hosted by the University of Maryland Department of Geographical Sciences.[1][2] It is an applied-science analysis network rather than a satellite operator: the consortium uses existing NASA and partner EO data, including Landsat, MODIS, and Sentinel inputs, for agricultural monitoring and food-security applications.[1] Its activities include rapid agricultural assessments, crop monitoring and production forecasting, agricultural insurance support, early-warning work for food crises, and AI/ML-based crop mapping.[1][2] NASA Harvest also produces G20 GEOGLAM Crop Monitor reporting and runs regional programmes including Harvest Africa, Harvest Latin America, and Harvest South Asia.[1][2]
