The Netherlands Ministry of Defence (Ministerie van Defensie) is the Dutch government department responsible for defence policy and military operations, including space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities.[1]
The ministry is the customer and operator for PAMI-1, the first dedicated Dutch military Earth-observation satellite, planned for launch in 2027.[2][3] The Royal Netherlands Air Force has contracted ICEYE for space-based SAR-derived ISR data services.[4] The ministry works with Dutch space-sector partners including ISISpace on satellite operations.[1]
