Taiwan Space Agency (TASA) is Taiwan's civilian national space agency under the National Science and Technology Council, based in Hsinchu Science Park and renamed from National Space Organization on 19 January 2023 following a status upgrade [1][2]. Its mandate covers space technology development and research, with a portfolio spanning optical Earth observation, GNSS radio occultation, and GNSS reflectometry missions [1][3].

FORMOSAT-5 provides optical Earth observation from a 720 km sun-synchronous orbit with 2 m panchromatic and 4 m multispectral imagery [4]. FORMOSAT-8 is the follow-on Earth-observation constellation, with satellites listed around 380 kg and panchromatic resolution near 0.7 m; the first FORMOSAT-8 satellite launched in 2025 [5][6]. TRITON launched on 9 October 2023 and extends the agency's portfolio into GNSS reflectometry for oceanographic observations from a 601 km sun-synchronous orbit [3].
