ISISPACE's modular deployment sequencer controls deployer activation timing, collects separation confirmations, and relays deployment status to a launch vehicle.
The ISISPACE Modular Deployment Sequencer (MDS, also referenced as IMDS) sequences satellite deployer activation between a launch vehicle and the deployer systems it controls.[1][2] On receipt of a valid launch-vehicle command, the MDS executes preprogrammed deployment sequences, signals deployer systems and doors, collects separation confirmations, and reports deployment status back to the launch vehicle.[1]
The MDS is modular in mass and scale: a four-deployer configuration with external power masses approximately 1 kg; an eight-deployer configuration with internal power masses approximately 2 kg; a 32-deployer configuration with a high-current battery option masses approximately 3.8 kg.[1] Base area is 250 x 100 mm; height depends on module count.[1] Pulse power supply operates at 28 V (+/- 4 V) with 0.1 to 2 s pulse duration.[1] Digital interfaces provided include RS485, RS422, USART, CAN bus, and Ethernet; analog breakwire interfaces are also supported.[1]
The ISISPACE product page states over 430 payload deployments across more than 15 launches since 2014, with qualification for Dnepr, PSLV, Falcon 9, Vega, and additional launch vehicles.[1] Independent agency or peer-reviewed technical sources for the public specification and deployment count were not identified; the ISISPACE product page is the primary source as of 2026-05-28.[1]
