Retired Soviet/Russian Kosmos-3M light launch vehicle, used for LEO and SSO payloads from 1967 until its final 2010 launch.
Kosmos-3M (11K65M) was a Soviet and later Russian two-stage light orbital launch vehicle used mainly for LEO and SSO payloads from Plesetsk and Kapustin Yar.[1][2][3]
Roscosmos and Russian Space Forces were the provider side for this historical launch service; the vehicle's industrial background included Yuzhnoye heritage design and PO Polyot production in Omsk.[1][2] Payload performance was about 1,500 kg to low Earth orbit.[2][3]
Kosmos-3M operated from 1967-05-15 to 2010-04-27 and was retired in 2010. The 11K65M variant was declared operational in 1970, and its final recorded launch was 2010-04-27.[1][2][4]
