AlSat-2B is the second ALSAT-2 high-resolution Algerian optical Earth-observation mission, using the ALSAT-2 NAOMI payload and an AstroSat-100 / Myriade-derived small-satellite platform.[1][2] It launched on 2016-09-26 on ISRO PSLV-C35 into a sun-synchronous orbit at about 670 km.[3][1] The ALSAT-2 programme heritage gives 2.5 m panchromatic and 10 m multispectral imaging over a 17.5 km swath.[4][2] Its application set covers urban planning, agriculture, coastal planning, cartography, civil-project monitoring, and environmental monitoring.[1][2]
