VIREON-2

VIREON-2 is an Earth observation microsatellite operated by AAC Clyde Space, launched alongside VIREON-1 on 30 March 2026 aboard a SpaceX Transporter-16 rideshare. ^[1] It is based on the AAC EPIC VIEW 16U platform and carries a multispectral imaging payload with a 15 km swath. ^[2] The satellite operates in a Sun-synchronous orbit at approximately 500 km altitude. The operator describes the service as providing daily revisit cadence, though a specific numeric interval has not been disclosed. ^[2]

VIREON-2 is the second satellite in AAC Clyde Space's planned VIREON constellation, co-launched with VIREON-1 as the inaugural pair.
