FANTANA AI Image Segmentation System

The FANTANA AI Image Segmentation System is a close-range industrial imaging product, not an Earth observation or satellite data service. It consists of a modular smart camera system with onboard neural network inference designed for real-time process monitoring in controlled environments. The documented application is segmentation and classification of insect farm production imagery to support process quality monitoring.^[1] The system operates at physical proximity to the subject; camera and sensor specifications are not published by the operator, and no satellite or airborne remote sensing component is documented. FANTANA GmbH (Vienna/Austria) conducts separate satellite-based EO work, including a project on automated forest damage detection and reporting using satellite data in collaboration with Infineon Technologies Austria, developed under the ESA Commercialisation Gateway programme.^[2] The AI Image Segmentation System is a distinct product from that EO programme.
