Quality Assessment Report is a Simera Sense data-quality assessment product for evaluating geometric and radiometric accuracy and satellite-camera performance from acquired imagery.

Quality Assessment Report is a data-quality and sensor-performance assessment service from Simera Sense for satellite operators using the xScape instrument family.[1] The service evaluates acquired imagery against geometric and radiometric accuracy benchmarks, detects image artefacts, analyses noise levels, and produces a snapshot of the satellite-camera system's operational performance at a given point in the mission lifecycle.

Assessments follow ESA EDAP+ best practice guidelines and are carried out in conjunction with VITO Remote Sensing's CalibrEO methodology, which provides the framework for in-flight radiometric and geometric performance monitoring.[2] Where the assessment identifies deviations from expected performance, the report includes recalibration recommendations.

Simera Sense's xScape sensors operated on the Lemu Nge satellite, launched in 2024 and carrying a 32-band hyperspectral instrument covering 420-900 nm at approximately 4.75 m ground sampling distance, have used CalibrEO-based in-flight performance monitoring as part of their commissioning and operations programme.[2]
