Compact all-electric Airbus Earth-observation satellite platform used for the four-satellite CO3D constellation.
The CO3D Platform is a compact all-electric Earth-observation satellite bus developed and manufactured by Airbus Defence and Space for the CO3D (Constellation Optique 3D) programme.[1] The platform follows the S250 smallsat form factor and carries an optical stereo imager, enabling sub-metre stereo mapping from a four-satellite constellation operated by CNES.[2]
Four satellites share an identical bus design, each flying a sun-synchronous orbit at 495-502 km altitude. Published mass figures for the S1-4 unit range from approximately 285 kg to 300 kg.[3][2] Peak and average power figures have not been published in open sources as of the research date.
